CRICUT DESIGN STUDIO-UX/UI
Develop the backbone for digital crafting for a new product, Cricut Explore (codenamed "Kepler"). Most online designing is bulky and difficult to design. Challenge was to create an easy-to-use digital interface which would allow for multiple crafting solutions including parties, cards, fashion, home decor, education, and holidays. Part of this scope was also to implement toolbars, modals, sprites, templates and projects. Monetizing these projects and images was also key.
DIGITAL WIREFRAMES
An external company was hired to research some usability concerns and do participant studies. After which I developed wireframes to ensure the new design platform would meet the requirements.

DEFINE WORKFLOWS
The project offered many paths for the customer to take. Many meetings concerning workflows were had and the team brainstormed ways to make each element work through the crafting process. Diagrams were developed and constantly updated as problems were found and discussed.

SPRITE AND MODAL CREATION
After the workflow was determined, the next step was to create visuals for easy-to-use toolbars, toolkits, and many sprites for programming.

CATEGORY REFINEMENT
Projects were a beast. We needed to come up with a great way to categorize all types of projects, with their accompanying icons.

FINAL DESIGNS
Each page of workflows is carefully thought through and the pages are marked up with sizes and usability for the programming team. Knowledge of Bootstrap was brought into play by the team of developers. With all these factors in mind, the designs started coming to life.

STYLE GUIDE CREATION
To assist the developers and the marketing team, I created a style-guide of the approved design and images.

FINISHING UP
Bringing the project to life, the new name and logo are introduced. I created visuals for the machine and then crafted landing pages and emails to send to the database.
